Built For Fast-Paced Settings
PMHScribe was created with one goal in mind: to make documentation faster, easier, and smarter for psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. Unlike many other AI scribes built by technologists, PMHScribe was built by me, a practicing PMHNP who knows firsthand the demands of psychiatric practice.
The Problem with Pace
For years, I worked as a fast-paced provider, often seeing 20–30 patients a day across outpatient offices, inpatient rounds, and long-term care facilities. Every second mattered. Every extra click, scroll, or pause in documentation meant one of three things: a longer visit, less income, or more time away from my three boys at home.
When I tried other AI scribes for dictation, I constantly ran into the same error: “not a long enough transcript.” Because I had always dictated quickly, like an auctioneer, waiting in silence to make a transcript “long enough” was unacceptable. I built PMHScribe so psychiatric providers never have to face that roadblock. Whether you dictate a quick consult note or a detailed follow-up, PMHScribe captures it instantly, without forcing you to pad your words.
Built for Complex Patients
Psychiatric practice often means managing patients with complex medical comorbidities, especially during consultations in hospitals, ICUs, or emergency departments. While my role wasn’t to treat conditions like hypertension or urinary tract infections, I still needed to capture those diagnoses quickly.
Traditional ICD-10 search tools slowed me down. Typing “hypertension” brought up a scrolling list, with “unspecified hypertension” buried deep in the options. Sometimes, I just wanted to type HTN and move on.
That’s why PMHScribe works differently. It was designed for fast-paced rounds and long-term care documentation with multiple diagnoses per patient. You can type “PTSD” and get the complete code set. You can type “HTN” and immediately see “unspecified hypertension.” No scrolling, no wasted time. Just accurate, efficient documentation.
Automation with Providers in Mind
Every feature in PMHScribe reflects the realities of psychiatric practice:
- No forced delays in dictation – Works at your natural pace.
- Smart ICD-10 handling – Simplifies complex patient coding.
- Made by a PMHNP, for psychiatric providers – Designed from lived experience, not guesswork.
I didn’t create PMHScribe for tech enthusiasts. I created it for psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who deserve a tool that matches the pace and complexity of real clinical work.
If you’ve ever felt slowed down by technology instead of supported by it, PMHScribe was built for you.
